There is much ado about Angel Haze. The 19 year-old newcomer to the world of Hip Hop is slowly but surely seeping into every thinkable digital media outlet possible.

First her name popped up on all my favorite blogs, than all my go to twitter channels and I guess when the official video for her track “New York” surfaced on youtube via the Pitchfork TV channel, it was definitely time to pay attention.

So I got to streaming her latest mixtape “Reservation” and I think I kinda understand what all the fuzz is about. Cause she might look as cute as a button, but I think you might want to buckle up for this ride. Guess when it comes to the new wave of female rappers, Azealia Banks isn’t the only one taking the world by storm. That is also where the comparison actually stops.

Even though “Reservation” is in definite need of a parental advisory sign, at this point I think I’m just happy this fresh faced youngster is fully clothed and can actually spit some barz. Some of the lyrics take you to some pretty dark and uncomfortable places, but it never occurred to me to stop playing the mixtape.

Anyways time will tell where all of this is headed, for now I’d suggest to just ride this new Hip Hop wave … cause it sure as hell is bangin!!!
