KWABS – THE WILHELM SCREAM (JAMES BLAKE COVER)

Let me just start out by saying … WOW!!!! There is a lot of James Blake covers out there but this one just blew me the f*ck away and that is very hard to do if you consider the vast amount of music I am exposed to on a daily basis.

Now for the stuff you are going to want to know when your done streaming … the ridiculously magnificent voice you have been listening to belongs to Kwabena Adjepong which is Kwabs for those who think his full name is actually a mouth full. Kwabs is a Londener by birth and Ghanaian through parentage. He studied music and jazz at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music. His first big breakthrough happened when he was chosen by drum and bass pioneer Goldie for the BBC show ‘Goldie’s Band by Royal Appointment’ which saw the singer take to the stage in front of members of the Royal family to perform alongside other specifically chosen young musicians.

This is pretty much all I have for now, since this youngster (he is only 22) is just starting out. But this kind of BIG talent will not lie dormant for long and I am sure I will have much much more to report with the next post. Which will probably be very soon ..
