Dammn it turns out I have watch my latest addiction by the name of Miguel Jontel a little bit more closely, cause the boy is on a role. I’ve fallen head over heels in love with his out of the ordinary approach to RnB.
I posted his video for “Adorn” at the beginning of February 2012 and at the end of March whadoyouknow … I seem to have missed another video and 2 free downloads.
Guess I have some making up to do and I plan to go all the way!!
I’m kinda excited about Miguel’s new Art Dealer Chic project, because it showcases his versatility and eclectric RnB style. Art Dealer Chic is series of 3 micro Ep’s with 3 tracks on them.
First up Miguels Art Dealer Chic Vol 1.
This volume is a masterpiece simply because the artwork is painted by Miguel himself. It’s obvious that if the singing would not have worked out, art would have been the other option. It goes without saying that Adorn, which could have been a Maxwell song, is my favorite of the three tracks. This however does not mean that the other tracks are not on point.
Just press play below and you’ll find out that this is no ordinary freebee …
Art Dealer Chic Vol. 2 needs another proverbial spin, cause this one just was brought to my attention.
It differs from the first volume in the sense that the first two tracks are more like poprock songs instead of RnB. Can’t help but think of Prince when his eclectric rock sound comes out of my speaker. Miguels signature RnB sounds resurfaces on the last track and leaves you behind wanting more and anxious for the upcoming art dealer chic vol. 3.
Needless to say that the creative juices in Miguels vains are working overtime. You can cop the free Art Dealer Chic volume 1 and volume 2 at DattPiff.com
